Who is responsible?
Uptone BV, Sluis 2a/004, 9810 Nazareth, company number BE 0809.529.237, is the controller of personal data processed through this website. You can reach us at info@uptone.be or 09 496 87 21.
What data, and why?
- Forms: your name, email address, phone number, postcode and request. We use them to answer and follow up your request, as a step before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- News from Uptone: only if you tick that box separately, based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Statistics, advertising measurement and visit history: only if you consent through the cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Details are in the cookie policy.
- Visit statistics without cookies with PostHog, without consent: PostHog counts visits, clicks and loading times without cookies and without storing anything on your device. To count unique visitors, PostHog computes a code on its servers from your IP address and browser that changes every day, so you are not recognised from one day to the next. We do this based on our legitimate interest in improving the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object via info@uptone.be.
- Behaviour analysis with PostHog, with consent: PostHog then uses cookies, heatmaps and session recordings of your visit. What you type in forms is never recorded (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Visit history with requests: if you allow HubSpot, HubSpot links the pages you visited on this website to your details when you submit a form.
Who do we share data with?
- HubSpot Ireland Limited: receives form requests and, with your consent, your visit history.
- Google Ireland Limited: Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Maps, each only with your consent.
- PostHog Inc.: behaviour analysis, with the data stored in the European Union (PostHog EU Cloud).
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited: the Meta pixel, only with your consent. Uptone and Meta are jointly responsible for collecting and transmitting this data; Meta alone is responsible for its further processing.
- Vercel Inc.: hosts this website and processes the technical data needed to deliver pages to your browser.
Some of these parties may transfer data to the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the party is certified, or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long do we keep data?
We keep requests for as long as needed to follow up your request and any resulting assignment, and afterwards for as long as the law requires. Events in Google Analytics are deleted automatically after the configured retention period of at most 14 months. Cookie durations are listed in the cookie policy.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You can withdraw any consent at any time via ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of every page or by emailing info@uptone.be; this does not make earlier processing unlawful. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
